"Oh my goddesses!" Midna cried as she rushed under a tree. The rain had begun to pour and she and Link had been caught right in the middle of it.

"It's not that bad." Link grinned as rainwater streamed from his hair down his face.

"You're used to it." Midna rolled her eyes. "You're a dog."

"Not right now, I'm not."

Link leaned his back against the tree and let out a pleasant sigh.

"Rain makes me relaxed."

Midna tensed up, unsure if her action was rash, but she went anyways. She crawled up to Link and sat on his lap. He jumped a little, but didn't protest. Her heart hammered in her chest as she leaned up against his stomach.

"This is... nice," Link stammered.

Midna turned around and looked up at him, a hopeful glimmer in her eyes.

"You think so?"

He smiled down at her, a warm look in his eyes. "I know so."

She pushed herself up a bit more and leaned her head on his chest, closing her eyes.

"Link?" she murmured, not opening her eyes.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Can you do me a favor?"

"Hm?"

"It's something small."

"Just tell me what it is."

"Hold my hand."

He took her hand in his, wrapping her fingers in his.

"I love you."
